Sentry Management Division Manager, Joye Jones had the opportunity to meet Mayor Van Johnson during “A Place to Dream” volunteer event. The Savannah office delivered 28 beds to children in the community who were previously sleeping on floors, and couches.
A Place to Dream is a program that was started by the YMCA of Coastal Georgia to provide beds for children and families that do not have beds. The program also provides full sheets and comforter sets along with bags filled with toys, books, and stuffed animals.
Joye explains why she chose this charity, “It was so rewarding, especially knowing that just the night before there were children sleeping on blankets or doubled/tripled up in the one existing bed.”
