Boise Community Manager

The very first Community Associations Institute (CAI) Chapter for the state of Idaho was recently approved by the leadership of the national CAI and Sentry Community Association Manager, Joye Jones was elected to serve as the Board Chapter President for its inaugural year.

The CAI is an international membership organization with over 35,000 members worldwide that is dedicated to building better communities. The organization provides information and educational resources to homeowner association volunteers who govern communities, professional property managers, association managers, and association management companies that support them.

The newly established chapter currently has 75 total members throughout the state that includes vendors, attorneys, and other industry professionals. The chapter plans on focusing on education and industry advocacy during its first year.

“I have no doubt that Joye will do a great job getting the chapter off the ground and she’ll be able to budget her time wisely so that attention to her HOAs as a community manager will not suffer,” Patricia Liddell, AMC® CMCA ® Vice President, Idaho Division said.

Joye has worked for Sentry as a community association manager for over three years and worked as a licensed Realtor® for over 20 years. Before joining the Sentry team, Joye also worked as a Director for a large non-profit corporation for five years.

The HOA board members and industry professionals who serve associations will benefit greatly from the addition of this new CAI chapter. Board members will now have opportunities to attend seminars, workshops, conferences and local education programs to better their communities.

“We are looking forward to the opportunities afforded to us by having an Idaho CAI chapter, especially for the educational component. The knowledge shared throughout the industry networks means a more proactive approach in the application of that knowledge to the Idaho communities,” Joye explains.
