Community Association Managers and other staff members at the Sentry Management office in Loudoun, VA recently participated in “Keep Leesburg Beautiful Month”. The staff spent a Saturday morning cleaning up a storm water pond and drainage areas along Route 15 in Leesburg, VA.
Keep Leesburg Beautiful is a month-long event held every April that gives local businesses, residents and community groups an opportunity to come together to make Leesburg a cleaner, more beautiful place for all.
The City provided the safety vests, gloves, and trash bags and volunteers were all assigned a special area or neighborhood to pick up litter and perform other cleanup efforts and beautification projects. After the trash is collected, the town handles collections of filled bags and other items that were picked up.
Eight Sentry staff members participated in the event, along with a few of their children. Over 30 bags of trash were collected in total.
“Keep Leesburg Beautiful gives us an opportunity to support the community where we work and live. We are inspired every day by the volunteerism of those in the communities that we serve,” Laura Poole, Assistant Division Manager, Loudoun Division said.
“I can’t think of a better way to honor the members of our community than to volunteer ourselves and our time to help surrounding environment,” Laura explains.
