Sentry Management’s Central Florida offices participated in the Jingle Bell Run 5K on Saturday, December 9th, raising over $19,000 to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. This year, Sentry Management was a Platinum sponsor for the organization with a National Team, the “Sentry Smiling Elves on a Mission.” Across the country, Sentry offices participated in their local Jingle Bell Runs, totaling over $37,000 raised companywide. The Central Florida Jingle Bell Run was held in Baldwin Park, a prominent Orlando community managed by Sentry Management for over 17 years. In total, the Orlando event raised $134,170 across 61 teams. 

The Jingle Bell Run is a 5K fun run where participants dress up festively to walk or run an established course to raise donations and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation’s mission for a cure. The race is held throughout several December weekends throughout major cities nationwide and brings together people from all walks of life to champion arthritis research, resources, and support. 100% of the funds raised at these events go directly to the foundation’s efforts for a cure.  

This is the fifth consecutive year that Sentry has participated in the race on a national level and has raised over $187,000 to date. The event is part of Sentry’s commitment to giving back through the company-wide charitable program called “Giving SMILES.” The Giving SMILES program identifies deserving residents impacted by tragic events such as a fire, flood, or other personal hardships and provides funding and assistance through company-matched and employee donations.
