Sentry Management’s Loudoun office hosted Board Education on Compliance Rule Making and Enforcement. The session focused on best practices for creating rules, establishing a review process, and enforcement, including legal remedies for non-compliance.
The session was led by Laura Poole, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, Division Manager and Susan Truskey, Attorney with Whiteford, Taylor, Preston. Board members from a number of local Associations were provided with strategies for adopting and enforcing rules in their communities.
The session gave Board members an opportunity to participate in the discussion, ask questions and leave with a better understanding of the role they play in maintaining their communities.
“Navigating the complexities of rule-making and covenants enforcement can be a challenge. Aside from providing professional guidance from both an operational and legal perspective, it was great to have Board members share their experiences with fellow volunteers,” said Laura Poole, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, Division Manager- Loudoun VA.
