For the second year in a row, Sentry Management’s Tavares and Ocala staff and their families donned hard hats and tool belts to partner with Habitat for Humanity in helping build a new home for a local Eustis family. On Wednesday, August 3rd, ten team members hammered, nailed, and drilled under the guidance of construction professionals as part of Habitat’s Women’s Build, a national initiative to engage women in the effort to provide safe and decent homes for families in need.
Habitat partners with community leaders, businesses, organizations, and citizens who volunteer their time and skills to make a difference in their community and provide a decent place for a family to live and raise their children.
“One of my favorite things about working for Sentry Management is their encouragement and charitable donations to the communities that we serve. My teams really do embrace the honor to serve our communities and give back through the Giving Smiles program whenever we can. It is great to connect with my team outside of the office while giving back to our communities,” says Katie Ciccotelli, Vice President for the Tavares and Ocala teams.
Sentry encourages employees to support the communities managed by Sentry through the company-wide charitable program known as “Giving Smiles.” Sentry supports 100 local charities and causes across 17 states and raises over $75,000 per year through events like a charity golf tournament and as a national participant and Orlando presenting sponsor of the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run.
